Hair Dye

Sorry la! Just felt like blogging today and hence there’s 3 blog post in a single day la.What to do? My life is so exciting.

Went with HH to take a look at some Hair Dyes. Yes, I want to dye my hair, however, my parents find it a waste of money to only dye for 1 + months and since I have no one to impress or whatsoever, we both felt that it does not C
Hair dyes cost around 10 bucks, but if dye-ing it in the salon, ict cost a whooping 40~50 bucks! Wah! Hair salon really make big bucks lor. Note: We are not talking about reds or jean yip. It’s some neighbourhood one, even though they offer services equivalent to reds and jean yip.

And being the typical teenagers that are not living an extravagant lifestyle, we chose the cheaper option. (Ok, he already know that he will take the DIY way.) Sadly, his friend who know how to dye hair is not free at the moment and hence, he resorted to me as his consultant! Haha! Bad choice la. But nevermind, I accepted willingly! I mean, it’s so exciting ma, first time experiencing the dye-ing process.

Yah, so he went over to my house and the process starts.

Firstly, you have a bottle and you pour the powder in it. Add some water and shake well. Now, squeeze the liquid dye out from the tube into the bottle as well. The next thing that follow is to cap it well and shake! Ok, you got the dye. *Simple enough?*

Next, you wear the gloves provided as HH said that the dye is corrosive. You squeeze it onto your hand and just rub it on your hair. The hard part is to make the dye seep into the hair. You know, as in make sure the Hair asorp the dye la. All the hair! It seems very hard for the sides and the back to take in the colour.

After making sure you have got everything done properly, leave your hair to dry. While drying, it should start to change colour le. Take note of what colour you want it to be. This is because the dye is suppose to change to 1 or 2 colours for you to choose from. Only after achieving your desired colour, you wash off the dye with shampoo and apply moisturiser to your hair.

The process should be completed by now and you should see the derived hair colour. Note, it is derived and not desired as it is not an easy process in the wait to make sure all your hair is of the same colour before washing off.

Ok la, I sound like a complete idiot to hair dye-ing hor? Cause I never dye before ma!

What’s wrong!

Can some kind soul tell me what is wrong with my firewall settings? I set the TCP and UDP port to 6112 but yet my lancraft still experiences certain problems to certain connections.

Yes, there’s some connections which I can enter, however, not all! Is that suppose to be the case? No right? And I’m pretty sure the other party ip address is not faulty as others can enter!

Argh! To make matters worse, I cannot enter my friend’s Game! That’s what makes matters so complicated.

On a brighter note, just played a game of Dota with people from IRC and surprisingly, we won! Haha! Ok, to be fair, my team has 2 very good players la. The first time I saw a Crystal Maiden Owning! Argh! Still had to settle this problem leh…

Best, Dota, Holidays

Fortunately Manchester United clawed their way back to a victory. It would be disastrous to note if Man Utd lost their first match since their legend, George Best died. Somehow, the thought of George Best actually “choosing” a time to stop the fight against his illness struck me. This is the time when Manchester really need to give Chelsea a run for their money. A time when they need to perform at their best to close the 7 points gap. A season to win some trophies. To savage the job of Sir Alex Fergusen.

George Best may be choosing to inspire his team to a victory against Benfica in their next Champions League match as it is there when he won the first European Cup with Manchester United to erase the deficit of the plane crash which killed off something like 7 senior players? The match is also of utmost importance as it would ensure qualifications if they win it.

The manager is still trying to add that magical touch in the team and hope to once again achieve the greatness of the team in the 1990s and especially the 1999 treble winning team which comprises of then youngsters probably at their peak. Somehow, I don’t see it likely to happen. Furthermore, I really think Manchester United is lining up for a bid to lure Steven Gerard from Liverpool. “Cup tied for the champions league”, “Big signing”, “End of season transfer”, I really can’t think of who else fits the bill, after they said those.

What do I know about football anyway? I didn’t bother to watch the second half of the match as it was already 1 and Vampire III ended and it’s halftime. Didn’t feel like waiting for second half and thus I went to sleep.

Has the dota craze died down already? Had not been playing a competitive match since 3 days ago with a group of friends from TPJC. It’s kind of kill the game when you play with “people in IRC” for they type vulgarities instead of telling them what they did wrong. Firstly, what can they know from “f…?” just tell them what they did wrong la. I’m never an advocate of the usage of vulgarities la. However, in times of severe frustrations, I tend to scold them back lor. Since it is a game where your identity cannot be traced, who knows right? Another negative point about playing with unknowns is that they leave the game halfway when they feel that they are losing. This disrupt the flow of the game and thus it may be forced to restart.

I think this is the Holidays. Indeed. In a real holiday, since there is the absence of schoolwork, there’s pretty much nothing to do. Especially when you have been separated from your groups of friends and initiating a reunion is a pretty daunting experience. Working 5 days a week and I still have nothing much to do in the 2 days I’m not working speaks for itself. Though I could pretty much say that over the course of the holidays which started 4 days before last monday, I was out everyday, some of the days were actually quite restless. In particular yesterday. **It just rained** Yesterday I head down to Parkway and hope to get some T-shirts. My resolution is that I do not want to buy white, black and grey T shirts la. But so ironically the only shirt to my liking only have a back and white colour that fits me! -_-” Ok, being of a smaller built is a punishment. Perhaps I should just go to shope like kiddy palace and stuff ya? I’m kidding of course.

Going out in another half hour, to get some stuffs done. I got a lot of stuffs not done hor? Other than repacking my room, which I kindly did yesterday, I think I have no other matters on hand. I got lost of what I want to blog about and thus this is all useless ramblings.

I have about 7 more off days to think of what I want to do in the next month before I have another 20 days before enlisting. Organise a Group 6/ Group 5 Group 6 outing seems enticing enough. Ncc outing shall leave it to the big bosses, sec one group outing I doubt the prospect of that. sec 2 group outing, I also don`t find it likely, sec 3 and 4 group outing, that’s the group I’ve been hanging out all the time la, jc 1 group outing, I don’t think I’ll even be there la. Guitar outing is planned le. Oh great, I probably only settled one day provided 56 outing proved successful. Nevermind, shall plan one day at a time then.

For they say a boat will automatically be straight upon reaching the harbour. I didn’t use the chinese form as I didn’t know how to write 2 words there. Lol!

Books

Yay, I’m home! 12.45 on a Saturday Afternoon! No, it’s not Halfday on Saturdays la, just that my father sent me to do some long overdue business, and therefore I’m released for the day! There’s nothing much to do nowadays. Been slacking at work for about 2 hours a day.

Re-Read Half Blood Prince last night. extremely sad, I have to say. I admit I missed out lotsa details the last time I read and I sorta made some stuff out of nowhere. This time round, I have some new conclusions! I still feel that Dumbledor did not die. Snape is still very much in the Order. Harry Potter is the 6th Horcrux. Argh! I can’t think of anything now!

Hogwarts is closing! Harry Potter had not pass his apparation test but yet he is not returning to Hogwarts! Ron is such a loyal friend!, Following Harry in his quest to hunt fot the horcrux, Hermione, I’m not so sure, sorta missed out that. Ginny is slowly becoming to be one of my favourite Harry Potter character in the book, though not in the movie yet, as she still does not look to be the beauty she is described to be.

What book shall I read next? Library anyone? Today, tmr or monday is all fine with me.

I’m one person who usually satisfy my own material well being.

This bag caught my attention when it is photographed on Urban (The Straits Times la) under the section “What HE wants”. however, it cost a freaking 103.95 Sing Dollars!

Not exactly I cannot afford la, but it means 3 days pay leh! work for 27 hours in order to earn this bag! I can just feel my heart being torn into many pieces.

Up till this point, you still don’t understand? Who want to buy this for me for Christmas or New Year? I’m serious! There could be 10 of you sharing the cost then one person just have to pay 10 bucks la. Quite worth it right?

Haha, fine. However, I still has yet to see the bag itself. But from the look of it, it got to be some cool stuff! IF I really bought that bag, it could probably be for University ba. Who in the right mind will bring such a lovely bag to NS?

A place where you will not bring your girlfriends

Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring you World Cyber Games 2005.

How many people went to the Olympics before? And here I present yout the “Olympics” of cyber gaming.

Since there’s no other better way to spend my Sunday away, this is a good catch.

First up, we witness the victory of Team 3d (USA) against Erm, ?23(KAZ)

What is so spectacular about this game other than it is the grand finals is that Team 3D is the defending champions as well as the No. 1 seed.

However, ?23 is the team that defeated The Canada Team. The Canada Team happened to beat Team Titans from Singapore. (The Canada Team were the 4th placing whereas Singapore were in the top 16.

Team 3D won set 1 convincingly, and we left without watching Set 2.

Next up, Starcraft:Broodwar. Australian vs China.

Before the match, they typed

It’s Have Fun!

And well, China (Cloud) Lost 2-1.

It was well, a very close match, at least for the third match. The Australian fought well, and just because of the photon cannon, Cloud did not managed to carry out his Zergling rush! Argh! And there, Proton triumph over Zerg.

Followed by that was Warcraft III.

The game was a total mess for me! I had no idea what they were building and stuff, and we left halfway. Lol!

However, the 2 of them were so good friends that they said

“BG” and
“DHF”

Which means bad game and don’t have fun. LOL!

And lastly, we had a glimpse of FIFA 2005.

So much had changed hat I find that it’s becoming a hard game to master.

Well, that’s all. LOL! I’m tired la!

I’m glad to know that I’m not the only person who was touched by Harry Potter’s forth instalment. In fact, this girl, who I had been reading her blog for the past month shared the same sentiment. It’s indeed a sad scene.

Anyway, there’s nothing much to be done today, except for a trip to the temple, as well as dining out with my parents. I’ll probably head down to the gym sometime before that. Perhaps make that a swim? It’s actually quite tiring to go to the gym every alternate day, not to even mention daily.

Singapore’s quite a bore isn’t it? When you really want to get out, there’s no place for you to go.

My parents have been urging for me to buy my new year’s clothes. This is so that they do not have to help me buy when I enter NS. However, I prefer to wait till January as there will be much less of a crowd.

Hmmm.. Need to plan my Sundays and Mondays well. Cause tuesdays to saturdays are more of less planned, from morning till afternoon that is.

Actually I really want to go out with some “long lost friends” You will probably want to do something like that too ya? Cause after all, it is the holidays and what other time could you do that? However, the thought of asking my friends from council, ncc, sec 1 or 2 class out does not seem very much likely leh, not to even mention primary school! It’s just that I’m not one who could organise things very well you see.

Well, that’s all for now, shall continue what I have set out to do yesterday. Re read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, followed by OOTP. Strange ya? Reading the sixth book then the fifth. Haha! Perhaps I may unrevel some unnoticed stuff if I done that!

Another day

Just came back from bball and gym session. Practically skipped lunch today, since dinner is just an hour away.

It’s actually fun playing bball with friends and stuff la. Cause they won’t mind if you suck in the game you see. Haha! But today was rather ok ba. 2 more days to go out before I start working.

People losing weight usually say I need to get rid of the tummy, the thighs, flabby arms. However, for people working out, they usually say I need to work on my abdominals, my calf muscle, my biceps, my triceps.. and so on la. I hope I’m more of the latter than the former.

Managed to do 3 pull ups max today. Hai Hui managed 10! Ok lor, can go NS le. Haha! 10 is the target I set to achieve before enlisting la. I think should be attainable. *Pray*

Harry Potter

There’s been much criticism over the past couple of days regarding the Harry Potter movie, Goblet of Fire, that actually led me thinking that the movie is going to disappoint me.

However, even though I agree with some views, I still feel that the movie is rather good overall.

I do agree that quidditch is very erm, yah la, however, after watching the movie, I disagree that Dumbledor is not up to standard. He is supposed to feel stressed right? With the mer people and the 2 other houses coming over. That’s why he have to be grumbly. And the times he shouted, he was merely asking for silence ok! And he is still the same old dumbledor, at least for the last few scenes ok!

Yes, Cho Chang was disappointing.

No, fleur is rather nice.

And the best part of the movie was that, it managed to touched me on 4 scenes! 2 were when Hermione cheered so genuinely for Harry Potter!

And the other 2 was about Cedric dies and that his father was weeping over him. That had me reduced nearly to tears ok! Imagine it! A Harry Potter movie! Reduced to tears!

Just imagine Book 5 and 6 when it appears on movie. Black and dor die. Wah! Just imagine how sad it will be.

Shall re read book 5 and 6.

In the meantime, dota.

It’s ending! I figured that I will most definitely not have time to blog tonight due to the huge pile of notes I need to digest. You know, after today, It appears that most students will be quite relaxed as they only have Chemistry MCQ left. Ahhh! But I have Geography! You know, 5 DRQs and 2 Essays can really take up much weight in the total examinations. Furthermore, it is Human Geog we are talking about! Hello, Urban, Economic Geog and Population. And then comes Environmental management. I would be willing to do Tourism if I had a choice.

Well, anyway, after making friends with David Ricardo, Milton Friedman, LC King, Adam Smith and co, in about 2 days time (including today), I shall renew my relationship with Stealth Assassin, Crystal Maiden, Bone fletcher, Lightning revenant and co.

However, in the meantime, Economics is staring at me right in the face, literally, cause the book is facing me on the table and I need to refer to the keyboard to type you see, so it is inevitable that I will stare the book right in its face. Worst of all is that while doing the MCQ for november 2002, I finished with much confidence only to realise that I only have 21 out of 40 correct!

I have to rely on my MCQs and DRCS (I never expected this to come out from me) if I want a good pass to overturn the deficit on Paper 3.
