Date? Nah!
August 13, 2006
Update: Haha, the meeting sorta called off due to one reason or another. But well, there’s always other opportunities. Yup!
Har? Suddenly, tomorrow I’m going on a “date” with a girl who met through friendster. Har? I’m still pretty much feeling dazed. I didn’t know how to reject people up till now, that I just agreed on everything. -_-” Ok, for a start, I know nothing about this girl other than her name and that she was from VJC and now in NTU. But she appeared to be thoughtful by asking where I will be going and then asking to meet up at that place.
From the conversation, I think she’s nervous. She spoke very fast, and I just “ah” all the way. If she was not nervous, it means she speak at this rate all the time! Which is woah! And also, I think she’s the type that makes a good conversationist, asking more about what I like and stuff, but then, actually I prefer to know what you like instead of asking about what I like. Cause I’m basically very dull you see, and I don’t have likes and dislike. I just go along with the crowd and things de lor.
I don’t know how tomorrow will turn out too. I probably cannot recognise her with one look due to my not-so-good-at-memorising-people-faces at one look kinda thing. But this is definitely not the way I expect how the first encounter would turn out to be. I didn’t think of a 1 on 1 meeting for lunch lor. I thought at the very least girls would like to stick in a group ma. So it’s really kind of erm, rare?
But anyway, I bought my Nitendo DS Lite! Yay! Finally a gaming console after so so so many years! (My previous gaming console was a Sega!) Along with my first DS game, Brain Age! Argh, my brain is currently 38 years old! Planning to buy New Mario Bros tomorrow, so that at least I got 2 games to play! Haha, actually I’m still considering if I should get it tomorrow, then she called, so well, I guess that’s fate asking me to get it once and for all!
Ok, looking forward to Monday and Tuesday Off! Yay!
Me and my Nation
August 5, 2006
National Day’s coming! It’s exciting because National Day is a public holiday and holiday = break! Break is precious ok! Anyway, this post is about me and my nation. What have I done for the nation..? No la, what I did during National Day for the past 19 years la. Haha!
Actually, for National Day, there’s probably only 2 years which left me an impression. The first of which was the Primary 5 thingy, whereby every school primary 5’s would get the chance to see NDP live in the stadium. Somehow, if you ask me what performances were there, I really don’t know. What I could remember was that that year, we had a torchlight that could change the colour of the lens, only to be reunited with it 8 years later in BMT. Haha! And I remembered I was thinking what if the fireworks fall down and burn us! Haha, I was just a primary 5 kid who got curious about everything ok! What goes up must come down ma.
There’s another year which left me a greater impression.
It was when I’m in Secondary 3. That was a special National day, which was also quite embarassing la! :p Cause every year’s National Day, NCC would have at least 3 “representatives”, 1 bringing the flag to the flag raisers, 2 flag raisers. For that year, there is also the parade commander which fell into the hands of Peng Juay! Well, anyway, since I’m in council, they have the sterotype view that councillors = can raise flag! So got to raise the National flag la. And er-hem. If you realised, the flag used during national Day was HUGE! Much bigger than normal flag raising flags. This came as a surprise to me. Didn’t know it was that huge! So yah, Jason, the other flag raiser, hooked up the flag. And guess what! I couldn’t find the tip of the flag, so I couldn’t hoist it up properly. The flag was big, I was trying to put it on my shoulder, but it was really hard as it was not suppossed to touch the ground! I think after 1 minute, I finally managed to rest it nicely. Haha, so the whole school stood at attention for 1 minute, thinking what is this guy doing!? Haha, but the experience was once in a lifetime. Nice desu!
Yup, that’s all for me and my nation! What about you and the nation?
On a totally irrelevant note, yay! 迷路兵won superband! First time the team I supported from the start managed to win in the finals! It eluded me in xiao yuan superstar, jue dui suerstar, and even the world cup! Phew, but they really deserved it. Went for a mini cosplay today too, liked the Rukia. I think she’s cute. Spoke to se xy S oi Fon g! Haha! I doubt I’m hosting any pics for cosplay cause I didn’t stay for long nor did I enjoy it. The weather was hot. Why did it have to be an outdoor event…
