Went to watch 200 pounds beauty yesterday. Quite a good movie la. At least it is funny! Somehow, they seem to not want viewers to cry. Cause when it gets to the most touching moment, one small character will step in and make the scene a comedy instead. Haha!

Fire Fire!

A scary commotion occurred just now. It probably tested how much my family is ready when something happens. Which is sadly, not ready.

It was about 10 pm just now. I was already on the brink of sleeping. I got tired very easily recently you see. Anyway, my mother who was at home at that time, woked me up very frantically. I was half asleep and half awake and I only heard “着火， 楼下.” And the very blur me finally managed to see the amount of smoke inside of my room! It wasn’t very smokey, but the room had a thin layer of smoke and you could smell the smoke easily, even though I had a “sensitive” nose which is forever blocked.

And still being half awake, my family and I went outside. As I repeat, I am blur to not even take ANYTHING outside of my room! I switched off my fan, my monitor as well as the light, leaving my Handphone, Wallet, and basically, everything still in the house. I didn’t even have the thought of salvaging anything from my room until my mother was saying we still have so many things in the house. She was very worried, which is perfectly natural.

We proceeded downstairs and we analysed the situation. We did saw flames though not those raging fire, but is more like flickers and flickers of red on the wall. Something like reflection. We alerted the guards and 1 of them proceeded upstairs immediately. After 5 minutes or so, the other guard with us downstairs told us it is okay to go up. The fire had been put out.

We, being typical Singaporeans, we went downstairs to have a look. Their kitchen was quite charred. There were only 2 young teenagers inside the house. They were trying to cook probably because their parents aren’t home yet. And believe me, when me and my brother tried the stove for the first time, we also didn’t managed to figure out how to use it. However, we gave up eventually to buy food downstairs. Apparently, they didn’t. One of them was burnt though I believe it was only superficial burns. The fire brigade came so did the ambulance. I guess the damages are going to be costly to them.

Aftermath thoughts
1. Our guards are really efficient. I’m proud of them.
2. My mother is very thoughtful. She told me to bring something for them to consume. Cause they would not resort to cooking had they got something to eat.

3. Do be friends with your neighbours. 远水救不了近火 There are many things which your neighbours could help in dire circumstances.

4. Do put your valuables somewhere accessible. So that you could grab them and go downstairs in case of emergency. And do remember to take them! All my stuff are on my table, yet I could remember to switch off all electrical appliances but forgot to bring down my valuables!

Pokemon Fever!

Ahh, after waiting for 8 months it’s finally here! 20% why I bought NDS Lite is because Pokemon is coming over to NDS! Even though Pokemon sound kiddy, but it is really a fun and interactive games suited more for adults. I mean, kids won’t be thinking so much into which type of pokemon could counter which type and so on. At least I don’t when I was playing last time!

Ahh, can’t wait to get my hands on it! But the release date is Sunday, though probably tomorrow will be the unofficial release date in shops. A couple of my friends bought NDS Lite too! Therefore, in my unit, there will be a grand total of 4 person owning NDS Lite! Ownage!

Jpop!

The first Jap album I bought was the last album by Speed. They were the singers of hit song, “White Love“. I bought that album just because I love that song. That was when I’m still in my early Secondary School days. The album is their live concert if you are wondering.

After which, I bought v6 under the influence of a friend, with the surname Jap.

Now, if you ask about Japanese songs, one name that will come up is Ayumi Hamasaki. However, for me, I really love Utada Hikaru. Other than her arguably most famous song, “First Love“, I also like “Can You Keep A Secret“.

Apart from her, I think some other singers also stand out for their song.

Sheep Sheeps and more sheeps!

You know, in New Zealand, one of our rest and relax check point is to a sheep show! Seriously speaking la, when you hear that there is a sheep show, you will naturally feel quite bored. Cause what is there about sheeps to see? What is so special about sheeps? What can sheeps do to entertain? Ok la, I admit. That’s what I thought.

That is the name of the place. Agrodome! You might want to check out their webby.

And there, we saw sheeps.

Many many breeds of sheeps which you would never have come across. The one situated right at the top, is no doubt the king of the sheeps! The breed is called Merino. It is kingdue to it’s nice wool on its body.It might not be obvious from the picture, however, the colour beneath is of snowy white. When all the wool is sheared, it can fetch $500 dollars. If one day I happen to become a farmer, I will surely raise a lot of Merino. Yah, raise them from baby until they mature!

Some of the sheeps are mainly for producing milk. Therefore the thing used to store milk is very big!

And going to a sheep farm, must take photo with sheeps! Haha!

Haha, the host sheared one sheep, ask people to milk cow and demonstrate how sheep dogs manage to keep sheeps from wandering away. And that is about the end of the show. The place has lunch too. And their main dish is not hard to guess.

Aspirations

In order to be a cool Jap actor, there certain things need to be achieved.

1) I need to be able to speak and read Japanese! Or else how to read the script?

2) I need to have a nice built! Or else how to stand out from the rest of the aspiring cool Jap actor?

3) I need to be able to sing well! In case you didn;t know, Takuya Kimura is from Smap. Aya Ueto sing her own drama songs.

These being said, I have a long long way to go! Argh!

Anyway, any guitar people want to go to SYF to see our junior? They are now 85% But remember, they need to be 150% in order to get honours. Perhaps we could cheer them on!

Advance Theory

Yay!

Actually it is not as tough as I thought it might be. I have around 5 questions which I was uncertain of the answers. And seriously, what is aquaplanning? I don’t remember coming across this term while reading my advance theory. Argh, just good that both theory tests are over and now to concentrate on improving my driving skills.

I didn’t feel the euphoria I felt when I passed my basic theory. Perhaps because I booked the test at 915am! I was so sleepy when I entered the room that I wondered if I could think properly. And similar to my basic theory, I finished the test quite early, but checked through the answers once again to ascertain that I have less than 6 mistakes.

There are some “trick” questions. For example, regarding to fines, the Advance theory book listed a whole page full of fines and demerit points! How to memorise all of them? But the thing is, the question is phrased like this “What will you get if you drive on the shoulder on the expressway?” A) Charged in court. B) Fine C) Fine and demerit point. I chose C. Reason being, there are no offences whereby you are fined without demerit point and vice versa.

And before they start the test, they show you a sample question. I think that’s a trick question. Cause the sample question is very hard! And the option they selected looked wrong to me! Fortunately that question didn’t come out on my test. I think I got relatively easy questions perhaps. However, the first 2 questions shocked me ar! So tricky and I thught that’s the end le, cause first 2 so tricky, how to handle the rest of the tests? Haha. Aiyah, should have went to the chinese translation and see what is aquaplanning! Argh!

Over stepping the border

I think I tend to be explosive. Perhaps I have a tendency to protect things that surround me. Whether it is my company’s reputation, my friends’ welfare or any other thing I suppose. I just felt so agitated that I had to have a go at them. People can’t always say what they want and expect to get away with it completely unscattered. I make sure that if it is not my fault, they become apologetic. If it is my fault, I will definitely admit.

It applies to friends, even close friends, as well as strangers. I bite when I’m pissed off and agitated. I make sure that the party feel extremely bad themselves even though they got what they want. I also make it a point the make them feel sorry and know that it is their mistake in the first place and they should not blame others for their blunder.

When I treat you nice, I expect equal treatment from you. Don’t climb over my head or I will get agitated and pissed off so much that I can give you what you expect. However, don’t expect me to do it nicely. If I treat you nice, isn’t it only natural for you to give me back the same treatment? I always think that it is this case. So I always know who is treating me nice and who’s not, and I treat them the way I feel they deserved.

If people treat you nice, treat you with respect, you shouldn’t just climb over their head and expect them to treat you even nicer. It doesn’t go this way. I hope everyone understand this simple logic ya. At least I thought that it was simple.

Perhaps it is karma. But I thought I had already made up for it….

Tiberium War!

These past few days, I’ve been busying myself with Command and Conquer 3, Tiberium War, and thus explaining the lack of posts recently. It is very nice, especially if your friends bought the game as well. Because if your friends bought the game as well, we could all play together!

It’s good la, however, my graphics card and com specs just fit the requirement and therefore, all settings are set to lowest! Argh! So if you want to get the game just so to play an online network game together with me, (blush) please make sure that your com specs are elligible to play the game! Something like a 2.0 ghz, 512mb ram, at least a 5500 geforce graphics card, 5gb hard disk and a dvd rom are needed. For optimum gameplay, of course it is better to have something like a 4 ghz dual core, 8000 geforce graphic card, 300 gb hard disk, etc. No idea if those exist on the market not though. ^^

It’s fun la. And requires much thinking! Shall research on some strategies now!
