Cosafe

I made my way down to Cosafe for dinner tonight! From reviews I’ve read, it appears that the service was bad and that waiting time for the food is quite long.

Well, some months from then, the waiting time is on average 15~20 minutes. However, for me and kk, the waiting time took 30 minutes due to some miscommunication whereby our fish and chip were not recorded. Due to this, we enjoyed a 10% members’ off! Member leh!

The fish and chip is ok-la, though the pricing is a bit too steep at close to 17 bucks when compared to that of fish and co. However, they had a “maid” theme, therefore it could be justified ba. The review stated that the “maids” weren’t train, however, I suppose Singapore and Japan must have lotsa differences la, therefore, maybe in the distant future, if this cafe proved to be a hit, competition increases, you might get a different experience ba. From animes, it appears to me like working as a “maid” is not a “clean” job. But in Cosafe, it definitely is la.

It’s also quite obvious who stand out the most. Her tall height and good looks definitely gave her the advantage. Coupled with her not-so-shy personality, she must have been the eye candy of quite some people I suppose. Surprisingly, no one took a picture with her. Or rather, I didn’t see anybody taking a photo with her la. Too bad I didn’t have a camera there.. But she might be taller than me! Haha!

If you people are thinking of going there, I advise you to go on Fridays and Saturdays (those are the days which she work) and choose to sit outside. Yup! Should be going there again, but not in the near future.

Bleach Collectors Gum!

Haha, actually not gum la. Is a set of cards. Clear plastic, with 5 special cards. I have 22/25 cards! Argh! Short of just 3! It’s extremely hard to complete all 25, but well, there are people who managed that. Managed to line up a trade for one of the 3 cards next saturday, due to this saturday I have to go back MJC! Argh! Can’t wait to get my hands on the complete collection! Nice Desu!

Yup, that’s 60 bucks gone from my NDS Lite fund, but I think it’s worth it! It’s very nice la. When I’m free I shall post a nice nice picture up ok?

Cosfest V – The Reunion

Firstly, please pardon me for the low quality shots. I tried to photoshop to make it better, but maybe it is made worse? Haha. Anyway, for a mountain turtle like me, this cosfest is definitely an eye opener. The anime scene in Singapore is getting warmer and I suppose in a few years time, cosfest will be more popular with the general public. Shall let the pictures do the talking ya.

There were quite a number of cosplayers there. Just think about it, not counting other animes, the entire bleach team was there! There was like 30+ people on stage during the bleach performance lor! There’s quite a number of good cosplayers this time round. They applied heavy make up, spent lotsa efforts in making their accessories and costumes. The cosplayers are so kawaii! Even the judges, well, 1 of them cosplayed in a maid’s uniform! Nice desu!

There will be 2 cosplayers who will be heading over to Japan in August to participate in their cosfest!

And woah, the atmosphere is so overwhelming that the emcee doesn’t know that he said “urenion”, rather than “reunion” which was this year’s theme. However, he done a great job in being the emcee! That’s why he was also the emcee for the previous 4 editions ma!

I took a total of like 130+ photos, but I’m only posting up 10 of the best shots. I felt like I’m doing an injustice to the bleach team as well as the 2 superb Naruto cosplayers by not capturing some nice photos of them. However, fret not! Try to look out for other blogs or forums where it might be hosted! Look out for yourichi! She’s sexy!

Had a great time there, considering I went alone and it is my virgin cosplay trip.

Collections!

I wanna go for Cosplay! It’s some sort of costume party for anime lovers. Therefore, you dress up as an anime character! Haha. But > is over! Hmm, from pictures of Japan’s Cosplay and Singapore’s Cosplay, Sg one is of course of a lower standard. Cause Japanese girls kawaii ma, and they are more daring. The make up they put made them really look like the characters they are trying to play! The costumes they wore is identical also lor. The most amazing I’ve saw was of FMA, dressing up as Al~ Woah!

Hmmm, next cosplay, if I’m going, which char shall I mimick… Haha, probably….. Hitsugaya! Haha! Maybe not la, people so cute .. I so .. erm.. haha! Maybe Keitaro from Love Hina! Haha! Hmmm… But that one a bit normal… Haha! Nvm! Shall see when is the next cosplay first…

So now you’ve probably guess where my money’s gone to ya? It has been financing my Anime interest! I’ve bought a School Rumble set, pictures next time then post la hor. And next, I initially wanted to get Rukia, but Rukia is a stand alone figure, only accompanied by Kon. So in getting her, it would seem a bit empty. Therefore, I pre ordered bleach complete collection part II! Selling damn fast lor, so I bought part 2 then going to get part I. It’s quite nice la, I think, though no specific picture yet. Expensive wor, but it’s worth it la. Haha!

So ladies out there, if you happen to have lobang for weekend jobs ar, those that can one day earn min 50 bucks, preferably more, time is flexible, do tell me k! Will be interested for sure. It can be sales, roadshow, data entry or whatever la. Haha! Thanks!

Animania!

Ok, 还是 jun kit 了解我. haha! The last paragraph is something I came up at the last minute one la. I’m still very much single, and now, I’m single and looking. Afterall, it’s been like er, half a year of inactivity, and it’s time to do something about it.

Anyway, I’m very inspired to blog now. Been to Sunshine Plaza to look for anime related stuff. It’s recommended by my friend in my vocation. (I will blog about my vocation once everything is settled and fixed. Yes, it is not fixed yet, but people kept saying I will be posted to a particularly xiong section.) Anyway, my aim is to find some bleach related stuff, and hope that they will be nice to display in my room. I had high hopes when I saw so many such shops around. I walked into the first one and alas! Bleach figurine. Small. Upon closer look, they aren’t up to standard. They sell at sets of 8 for like er, 56 i think. But the thing is, the set of 8 is no particular set. I mean, couldn’t they sell set of 13, the 13 captains? Then sell the next er, 13, of the rest of the people. Marketing gimmick lor, who would want to buy something that is not completed.

I thought I could find weapons, Bleach swords selling in some shops. But to my disappointment, there never were anything like that. I mean, if you have those swords, ok, soul slayers, encased in a glass case, or hook up by 2 stands, like those samurai swords style, would people pay for one at 100 bucks? You bet, if it is the life size one. Next, I thought I could find a life size Kon. There is! But it is like very not proportionate lor. And they don’t have the simple Kon. They got the tuxedo Kon, The wear don’t know what Kon. However, ther’s still much to hope for! I went into one last shop, and found out that the shop sells things to my taste! And it is still new, and thus mostly empty. One spectacular find there was a huge poster, like A3 size of Abarai Renji! (Howl Zabimaru!) Wah, that totally caught my eye! 帅！

This gave me a thought. If only I could open my own Anime shop, that would be doing something I really like! And that definitely surpass that of being a DJ as my Chinese standard dropped quite considerably. I would be able to fly over to Japan like on a monthly basis, talk to more Anime fanatics, ask them what they would like to see. Go to Japan, talk to the toy maker, and have them sign a contract with me, for any ideas I supply, they will make it for me at no coast, as it will be some great ideas! Wahaha!

Something very funny happened in one of the shops. I was looking at some figurines when this lady stomp to and fro behind me, apparently looking pissed! Very pissed. I thought I block her view or something but still she don’t have to react until like that right? But it is because her boyfriend had spent a lot of time inside the shop and didn’t want to leave. So I overhead (She said very loudly and I was in close proximity lor.)

Haha! Cleared my doubts.

Anyway, proceeded to start doing what I went to Bugis to do. Scouting for a new bag.

I bought it from zinc, bugis. Very much to my taste. My cuppa tea. haha! Scouting for a bag is finally completed after er, 1 year of looking for the right one! Cheers!

P.S. I think the above is photoshopped very nicely! And for your information, when you stand up and look at the picture, it’s different when u are looking at it sitting down. Try it! Such a lovely and nice picture. Haha! I’m so easily satisfied. Wahaha!

Bleach Vs Full Metal Alchemist

Versus

Currently, to me, the answer to which is the better anime is obvious. Having watched the whole 52 episodes of Full Metal Alchemist and touched by the storyline, it’s no doubt that full metal has already won a place in my heart. However, having watched only the first 20 episodes of bleach, I still cannot judge it, despite feeling that it is a good anime too! However, if it is to eclipse the plot of Full Metal Alchemist, I say that a lot of work has got to be put into it still, to make the story, well, more matured and let people think about stuffs more. I personally feel that watching animes or movies or serials for that matter, allowing the viewer to think about the show will make it more like a 2 way thing. This enhances the viewing pleasure and therefore make the show much more worth the watch.

On a side note, Arsenal failed to nail a victory. This leave Chelsea leading the pack with a 9 point gap. The thing is not so much that Chelsea is dominating the game. It is that they are dominating and yet arrogant. I don’t know much about Seria A, however, Juventus is also leading the pack with a comfortable cushion but yet there is no complaint.

An example to illustrate this.
Chelsea is a very very very clever boy who tops every class test.
Juventus is also a very very clever boy who tops the class test in another class.

However, Juventus kept quiet about his success, whereas Chelsea is boasting that no one can defeat him and claim that he will top the class at the end of the year even though it is only June.

I hope this bring out the message. Don’t be arrogant!

Anyway, back to Full Metal Vs Bleach. Full Metal centered around 2 brothers (ahhh! Typical cliche but touching storyline, u feel it don’t ya?) Whereas Bleach is evolving around this particular guy and a girl. The brothers more of like make friends whereas the pair more of like kill off spirits and whatnot. Full Metal has a more interesting array of badies who happen to be the 7 deadliest sins, naming a few would be greed, sloth, pride, etc. Whereas so far, Bleach enemies have a common name, which is Hollows. In that aspect, of course the baddies in Full Metal are more worth the watch!

The graphics of Full Metal is still a notch higher than in Bleach.

However, one aspect of bleach that probably is better than that of FMA is probably the humour. FMA is more like a well, serious, whereas Bleach is more light hearted, with some parts rather amusing.

Having said that, it is quite clear which is the better anime from my point of view.

Shall await the arrival of more animes as well as the full collection of bleach!
